The grate itself provides an entrance to the Dungeons of the Hold at #1. You can get across by walking over the shallows that are barely visible beneath the water. It will have an item from the "Ceiling" section of the random drop list. There is a hidden crate here that can only be discovered while in scouting mode.A crate here has a random armor item, and a random gem.A barrel here has a random potion and some coins.This door leads to the Hold Sanctuary at #8.The Priest of Berath will leave behind a Mace, a Small Shield, a Padded Helm, and a Robe when killed. The Paladins will each leave behind a Greatsword, a Plate Armor, and a Full Helm when killed. The Priest is himself, however, pretty squishy so go for him first and foremost. The Paladins are pretty tough, but even more so as long as the Priest can pick them back up. Here the party will have to fight a couple of Archers, a Priest of Berath, and two Paladins of Berath.These stairs lead to the Hold Sanctuary at #4.This door leads to the courtyard of the Keep at #24.This door leads to the Hold Sanctuary at #5.A crate here will have a random spell scroll, and some coins.A barrel here has a hidden stash that can only be discovered while in stealth mode.Archers typically leave behind War Bows, Leather Armor, and Acorn Helm when killed. Guards typically leave behind Pollaxes, Mail Armor, and Nasal Helms when killed. Here you will encounter a couple of Raedric's Guards and an Archer. ![]() That can, however, be avoided if the party uses a Rope and Grappling Hook. Any characters that don't have an Athletics rank of at at least 3 will end up fatigued. It provides a way of getting inside the Keep without necessarily having to risk a slaughter in the courtyard of the Keep. Here's a spot where you can use Vines to climb up the wall.There will be River Reeds at spots marked #2.It is also where the party initially arrives at from the Esternwood.
